Unglazed stoneware・5 day wood-fired
This teapot uses a mixture of two distinct clays to achieve the contrasting ribbons of color on the body and lid. The clay body was mixed by the ceramicist, and the teapot hand-thrown before entering a wood kiln for a full 5 day firing.
This is a generous teapot, round, with a straight spout. It has been heavily seasoned by the artist with tea, giving the pot a rich patina and sheen.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
