Glazed stoneware・5 day wood-fired
This unglazed teapot was hand-formed from an iron-rich American clay, then fired in a wood kiln for 5 days.
What emerged from the kiln reveals the effect of wood-firing: the lid top and side of the teapot are “glazed” with vitrified fly ash, with a unique oil spotting effect that give the impression of sunspots.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
