Hand-formed・Zi ni (purple clay)・130ml
This tea pot is a beautiful re-imagining of a classic Shipiao pot. It was completely slab-built by hand using a Huang Long Shan “zi ni” or purple clay. Its Chinese name translates to mean “large mouthed”, a reference to its exaggerated lid opening.
Artist chop is stamped on the bottom, underside of the lid, and the handle. Seven outlets arranged in a hexagonal pattern allow for quick drainage. Limited series of five pieces.
Usage and care: Thoroughly rinse particles of sand from the interior before use. Dedicate one tea type per pot. Eventually, a tea pot will be seasoned with the particular character of a tea. Hand-wash only without soap or detergent.
Dimensions: 45mm tall, 118mm diameter・Pot Name: 大口石瓢壺
