Mini Kyusu
Stoneware・Shino・Tea Tree Wood
This diminutive glazed stoneware teapot was hand built by ceramicist Wang Wen De, using a special formulation of clay that create breathtakingly thin and light pieces.
The spout curves beautifully away from the body, balanced on one end by a hand-carved handle made of tea tree wood. The individual hand-carved notches are still visible on the handle, each notch is an impression left by the artist. The pale gray shino glaze is crackled, and will develop a rich patina with use. The interior of this teapot is also glazed.
This tea pot is truly as cute as it looks.
*Please take note that each pot can be slightly different in color tone, texture, size, and shape. It is not unusual to have areas of thicker glazing, and or colorations that reflect the different interactions between the mineral content of the clay body and glaze. Each tea pot is different, and may not be identical to the photographed item.
Approximate dimensions: 80mm tall, 65mm diameter, 120ml capacity・Artist: 王文德
