Burnished, Four
Hand-formed・Wood-fired unglazed stoneware・150ml
Hand-formed wood-fired pot. The front and lower half of this pot has the appearance of raw steel, a contrast to the softer earth tones of vitrified fly ash on the lid, spout and handle. Subtle oil spots distinguish the transition point between these two areas.
This small pot is egg-shaped, with a graceful spout, simple lid and finial. Seven outlets arranged in a hexagonal pattern for drainage.
Unglazed stoneware, using a blend of Taiwanese and Japanese clay, then fired in a wood-burning kiln for five days.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
Approximate dimensions: 80mm tall, 64mm diameter
