Beauty Variation, Qing Shui Ni
Beauty Variation, Qing Shui Ni
An updated take on the Beauty Pot, an iconic zisha teapot form we’ve collaborated on with artist Pan Yi’s family from the early days of Song Tea. In this most recent iteration, we’ve played with proportion, shrinking the form for the steeping of your most prized teas, and elongating the spout for a precise, clean pouring experience.
Qing Shui Ni, or clear water clay, is the first of four traditional Yixing clay colorways we’re releasing in this series. Partially hand-made, the porous clay is portioned and prepared individually before being pressed into a mold. The spout, lid, handle are each shaped by hand. The assistance of a mold allows us to offer an exceptionally high quality tea pot using an authentic zisha clay at a price point below that of a fully handcrafted piece.
This Beauty Variation Pot is ideally shaped to accommodate a range of different tea types. Seven outlets arranged in a diamond pattern allow for quick drainage, and a facile pouring experience.
Usage and care: Thoroughly rinse particles of sand from the interior before use. Dedicate one tea type per pot. Eventually, a tea pot will be seasoned with the particular character of a tea. Hand-wash only without soap or detergent.
Packaging Guide
Our teas come in your choice of resealable pouches or gift canisters—both are fully recyclable! Depending on the size of the tea leaves, our canisters can accommodate anywhere from 30g – 240g of loose tea. Plus, they make great gifts. |
