A Pair of Cobalt Cups, Five
A Pair of Cobalt Cups, Five
Stoneware・Shino・Cobalt・Wood-fired
Compliments to spring’s Cherry Blossom tea pot and bowl series, by Taiwanese master potter, Liao Guo Hua. Each pair of small sipping cups are unique, with varying brushstrokes of cobalt oxide and softly blushing plum chun glaze.
Asymmetric, with gently rolling rims and unglazed bases, scored and textured by the potter's knife, these cups are inherently tactile. This is our preferred scale for gong fu-style tea drinking. When paired with a server these little cups draw out the pleasure of every pot, and make the perfect setup for sharing tea with friends.
Usage and care: These interior-glazed cups are suitable for use with all tea types. Simply rinse between uses or hand-wash with mild detergent.
