Collection: Miro Chun

Miro Chun is a Korean-American ceramicist who divides her practice between the making of functional objects and non-functional (Critical) Objects. Her study of porcelain and stoneware focuses on reductive forms that emphasize the tactility of clay-as-material.

The collection is designed in groupings—mirroring the sociality that shapes and surrounds the rituals of dining. Miro’s training as an architect informs the relationships between the objects and their placement, so that the spaces created between each piece become as important as the objects themselves.
