Server with Cobalt Accent
Server with Cobalt Accent
Simplicity of form is belied by expert craftsmanship in this shino and cobalt glazed server from Taiwanese artist, Zhang Yun Cheng. Quiet, smoothly thrown lines rise from foot to spout on this pot, the traces of the artists fingers just visible beneath the pillowy glaze. Feathery rivulets bleed out from the blue banding along the rim, lending a sense of movement and ethereal nature to the deft lines of the vessel, tapering at the spout. This gently curve makes for an easy, dripless pour.
Pictured is one in a series of similar pieces. Slight variations are possible from piece to piece, a hallmark of hand-made pottery.
Usage and care: Care: The interior of the server is glazed, and may be used with all tea types. To wash, simply rinse between uses or hand scrub with mild detergent.
