Celadon Server
Celadon Server
Simplicity of form is belied by expert craftsmanship in this celadon glazed server from Taiwanese artist, Zhang Yun Cheng. Quiet, smoothly thrown lines rise from foot to spout on this pot, tapering in just beneath the rim to enunciate the collared neck of the form. This glaze thins ever so slighly as it crosses the rim of the server, creating a visual break that highlights the materiality of the stoneware beneath and lending a sense of movement and ethereal nature to the deft lines of the vessel. A beautiful companion piece to our Song Cups.
Pictured is one in a series of similar pieces. Slight variations are possible from piece to piece, a hallmark of hand-made pottery.
Usage and care: Care: The interior of the server is glazed, and may be used with all tea types. To wash, simply rinse between uses or hand scrub with mild detergent.
