Winter Celadon Cup
Winter Celadon Cup
Celadon-glazed・Stoneware
This winter celadon bowl is a restock from the early days of Song. Ceramicist Hu Tie Hua’s studio is located in Jiufen, a small mountainside town located on the northern coast of Taiwan. His work, often glazed in celadon, are simple and sophisticated, echoing traditional lines.
This simple cup is rendered in stoneware and glazed with celadon. The cup sits lower, with a wide opening - originally intended by the artist for sipping dark aged teas. A fine crazing covers the glazed surfaces, and with use, the crackles will deepen in color. The foot is unglazed.
This is one of 30 hand-made cups. Sizing varies between pieces. Please note that the cup you receive may not be identical to the one pictured.
Usage and care: Hand-wash only, mild detergent is ok.
Approximate dimensions: 75mm tall, 90mm diameter, 60ml・Artist: 湖鐵花
