Hand-formed・Zi ni (purple clay)・200ml
This teapot was made using a Huang Long Shan “zi ni” or purple clay. Its Chinese name translates to mean “tile”, alluding to the scalloped-shaped finial on the lid that resembles the clay roof tiles on ancient Chinese buildings.
Artist chop is stamped on the bottom, underside of the lid, and the handle. Seven outlets arranged in a hexagonal pattern allow for quick drainage. Limited series of two pieces.
Usage and care: Thoroughly rinse particles of sand from the interior before use. Dedicate one tea type per pot. Eventually, a tea pot will be seasoned with the particular character of a tea. Hand-wash only without soap or detergent.
Dimensions: 60mm tall, 90mm diameter・Pot Name: 盂式壺・Artist: 饒青
