Partial Hand-made・Hei liao
One of four Xi Shi tea pots we commissioned in 2018 as a study of clay types. This series was partially hand-made. The clay was prepared by hand and pressed into a mold. The spout, lid, handle were shaped by hand. The assistance of a mold allows us to offer an exceptionally high quality tea pot using an authentic zisha clay without the cost of full hand craftsmanship.
This new addition to our beauty line up is crafted from hei liao, a modified zi ni with a matte black color.
Perfectly shaped to accommodate a range of different tea types. Nine outlets arranged in a diamond pattern allow for quick drainage. Series of fifty pieces.
Usage and care: Thoroughly rinse particles of sand from the interior before use. Dedicate one tea type per pot. Eventually, a tea pot will be seasoned with the particular character of a tea. Hand-wash only without soap or detergent.
Dimensions: 75mm tall, 80mm length, 200ml capacity・Artist: 黃亞萍
