Unglazed stoneware・5 day wood-fired
One of Liao Guo Hua’s original 3 day fired pieces, this teapot was made nearly 4 years ago. Its aesthetic echoes the pieces we introduced when we launched Song in 2013. The name “original gold”, refers to that earlier aesthetic.
This teapot was hand-thrown from Taiwanese stoneware. Except for the small detail on the lid, this teapot entered the kiln unglazed. The golden sheen comes from flame flashes, and what appears to be a glaze is vitrified fly ash from the kiln.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
