Unglazed stoneware・5 day wood-fired
The Bell teapot is from Liao Guo Hua’s early attempt at longer 5 day wood-firings. Though made two years ago, we only came across this pot on our 2017 sourcing trip.
The teapot is hand-form from an iron-rich American clay. Bell-shaped, the teapot’s weight is substantial, with a wide solid base that gradually tapers towards the lid. The teapot has a golden sheen, and rich patina from nearly two years of seasoning by the artist.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
Approximate dimensions: 85mm tall, 75mm diameter, 160ml capacity・Artist: 廖國華
