Undulations in color, texture, and iridescence are the result of ash and flame as they traveled along channels of air in through the wood burning chamber of the kiln and up through the chimney. Each pieces underwent more than 5 days in this state, building up the rich surface of the server.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003ePictured is one in a series of five servers. Individual pieces vary somewhat in size and tone, a hallmark of this glazing method, and all hand made work.
