Hand-formed・Zi ni (purple clay)・180ml

This teapot was made using a Huang Long Shan “zi ni” or purple clay. Its Chinese name translates to mean “well” in Chinese, and the pot resemble the low stone wells found in many a Chinese villages.

Artist chop is stamped on the bottom, underside of the lid, and the handle. Seven outlets arranged in a hexagonal pattern allow for quick drainage. Limited series of five pieces.

Usage and care: Thoroughly rinse particles of sand from the interior before use. Dedicate one tea type per pot. Eventually, a tea pot will be seasoned with the particular character of a tea. Hand-wash only without soap or detergent.
